Job Description

Reporting to the Fabrication & Engineering Manager and based in Gloucester, The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fabrication Team, ensuring efficient production, adherence to health & safety standards, and high levels of quality service. This role provides leadership and support to the Fabrication Team, taking accountability for key production and safety metrics while assisting the Fabrication & Engineering Manager with team engagement, process improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership



Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Fabrication Team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Act as a role model and ambassador for company values, maintaining engagement and morale within the team. Assist in coaching, mentoring, and development of team members. Support the Fabrication & Engineering Manager with people matters within the team, including performance monitoring, development and attendance tracking.

Production & CNC Programming



Conduct CNC programming for fabricated orders, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal waste. Oversee daily production flow and monitor adherence to schedules. Assist in the creation of Fabrication Despatch Lists and ensure production KPIs are met. Supervise and manage "White Slips" in line with targets and support stock movements and system transactions, including "Back to Stock" reconciliation.

Health, Safety & Environment (SHE)



Ensure compliance with all SHE policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety walks and identify improvement areas. Investigate incidents and accidents within the team in line with company policy. Support the delivery of team SHE briefings and training.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Work closely with other departments (Warehouse, Transport, Customer Service, Buying & Merchandising) to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Support effective communication between the Fabrication Team and other stakeholders.

Essential Experience and Qualifications



Proven experience in CNC programming and production supervision. Demonstrable leadership experience at a supervisory or team lead level. Strong Health & Safety standards knowledge and practical application. Good knowledge of Microsoft - Excel / Word / Powerpoint Production planning & resource planning

Pay: 33,000.00-38,000.00 per year
