Speedcrete CP Ltd is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Fabrication & Workshop Assistant to support our busy team during a staff absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading name in the specialist construction equipment sector, with potential for a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Founded in 1985, Speedcrete CP Ltd is a well-established, UK-based business with four strategically located depots in Salisbury, Stafford, Glasgow, and King's Lynn. We supply and rent high-quality construction machinery and equipment across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
What You'll Do
Based at our
Terrington St Clement depot
, you will assist with the production and fabrication of machinery and components used across our nationwide operations. This hands-on role offers a varied and rewarding workload in a fully equipped workshop environment, working closely alongside our experienced fabrication specialist.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Fabricating and welding precision components (steel and aluminium)
Assisting in the manufacture of machines and bespoke equipment
Preparing rental equipment for dispatch
Delivering and collecting machinery from customer locations (UK Driving Licence required)
Supporting general workshop operations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with prior experience in fabrication and welding. While technical training will be provided, a good understanding of workshop practices and safe machinery handling is essential. You'll need a positive attitude, great attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a fabrication or workshop role
Proficiency in welding (steel and aluminium)
Full UK driving licence
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness
Working Hours
Monday to Friday - 42.5 hours per week
Standard hours: Mon-Thur:8:00am - 5:30pm, Fri:8:00am - 5:00pm
