About the Role



We are seeking a highly organized and proactive

Office Manager

to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our fabrication workshop. This role bridges the gap between the workshop floor and the front office, ensuring smooth coordination, efficient workflow, and professional communication across the business.

Key Responsibilities:



Office & Administrative Management



Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, documentation, and record-keeping. Manage correspondence (emails, calls, inquiries) and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and contractors. Maintain accurate files for projects, purchase orders, and compliance records.

Workshop & Operations Support



Coordinate job schedules, production timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with workshop supervisors. Track inventory, order supplies, and liaise with vendors for timely procurement. Support health & safety compliance by ensuring documentation, inductions, and reporting are up to date.

Financial & HR Administration



Assist with invoicing, timesheets, payroll data entry, and expense tracking. Monitor job costing, budgets, and workshop expenditures. Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff training coordination.

Communication & Customer Service



Provide clear updates to clients on project progress and delivery timelines. Resolve administrative or scheduling issues to minimize disruptions. Foster positive relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.

Key Skills & Attributes



Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in office software (MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, scheduling tools). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced workshop environment. Knowledge of fabrication/manufacturing processes (preferred but not essential).

Qualifications & Experience



Proven experience in office management, administration, or operations (experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction industries preferred). Understanding of financial administration (invoicing, budgets, payroll support). Familiarity with workplace health & safety requirements. High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
