About the Role



As a

Fabricator

at NOV Plymouth, you will support our manufacturing team in daily production tasks using advanced composite fabrication machinery. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals looking to start or enhance their careers in fabrication. You will be responsible for assembling high-quality components, interpreting engineering drawings, and operating various tools and equipment. This role requires strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards while contributing to efficient and accurate production processes.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in executing daily fabrication tasks under supervision Assemble component parts to a high standard of accuracy and quality Operate hand and power tools proficiently Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines Maintain a clean and organized work area Minimize material waste through efficient usage Comply with FGS Plymouth quality and safety systems Accurately record work for traceability and quality assurance

Qualifications & Skills



Experience in fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and fitting Ability to read and understand technical schematics and engineering drawings Skilled in using measuring instruments (e.g., tape measures, callipers) Familiarity with machinery like press brakes, guillotines, and rollers Physically capable of manual handling and demanding work environments Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn Capable of both independent and collaborative work Effective time management and task prioritization Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
