Facilities & HSE Assistant



Hands-on support to keep our site safe, tidy, and running smoothly


Want a practical, hands-on role where no two days are the same? We're looking for a

Facilities Assistant

to help keep our aviation facility safe, clean, and well-maintained. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, taking pride in their work, and supporting a busy site.


Working closely with our Facilities Manager and HSE Advisor, you'll support day-to-day facility upkeep, assist with basic safety checks, help coordinate contractors on site, and ensure our environment remains safe and compliant.

Hours:

8:00am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities



Facilities Support



Carry out daily site checks to ensure the facility is clean, tidy, and in good working order Assist with basic maintenance tasks and repairs (e.g., changing bulbs, minor fixes, equipment checks) Help coordinate contractors and guide them around site Support general upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities

Health & Safety Support



Assist the HSE Advisor with routine safety checks, inspections, and simple risk assessments Help ensure walkways, fire exits, storage areas, and workshops remain safe and hazard-free Support record-keeping and documentation for audits and compliance

Emergency & Safety Equipment



Carry out regular checks of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, alarms, and safety signage Support emergency drills and help keep equipment in good working order

General Site Coordination



Respond to minor issues around the site and escalate when needed Help monitor stock levels of supplies (PPE, cleaning items, maintenance materials) Provide general administrative support as needed

Requirements



What You'll Need



A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping areas tidy and safe Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.) Comfortable with a role involving physical tasks and outdoor work

Desirable (but not essential):



Experience in facilities support, maintenance, or a similar hands-on role Basic understanding of Health & Safety or a willingness to undertake training
