Job Description

As our exciting expansion into Cambois, Blyth continues to gain momentum, we are now recruiting for a Facilities Lead.


As the facilities lead you will be responsible for the site facilities including building maintenance, hard and soft services, utilities and sustainability. The post holder will drive department KPI's and delivery against business objectives.

Main responsibilities of the role:


Create a robust culture of Health & Safety, with adherence to company and legislative procedures and standards. Ensure that the quality of work is to the highest standard, following good engineering practices at all times. Maximise plant availability and efficiency by ensuring all PPM schedules created, maintained and modified according to OEM manuals and historical data, completing RCA on repeat failures, providing proactive breakdown cover, ensuring effective stock of critical spares and consumables are available for all machines and ensuring sufficient service contracts are in place to cover the electrical and mechanical building services. Create and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring communication is effective maintaining a high degree of collaboration and efficiency. Upkeep of the computerised maintenance management system, creating assets, creating and / or modifying task lists, adding parts, vendors or removing where required. Keeping track of equipment performance through data analysis, PPM's, condition-based monitoring. Contract setup, management, renewals and contractor management.


The successful candidate should have proven experience in a similar role with demonstratable experience of managing a facilities team.
It is essential that the candidate has proven experience in analysing and interpreting data from relevant systems in order to minimise repeat faults or improve maintenance standards.


A qualification to a minimum of HND in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Production) is necessary for this position.
A strong knowledge of legal and compliance within FM and building related regulations is also crucial to the role.
It is desirable that the candidate has experience of electrical and mechanical building services along with the creation of standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
