We are currently seeking to recruit a Facilities Manager to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with a one hour paid lunch.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and efficiency of our premises. You will oversee maintenance activities, manage facilities contracts, monitor building services, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and deliver cost-effective solutions to maintain and improve our work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the upkeep, maintenance, and smooth running of the warehouse facility
Supervise on-site maintenance staff or contractors; allocate tasks and ensure completion to a high standard
Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify and address repair or renovation needs across warehouse spaces, racking, storage, and staff areas
Plan and oversee schedules for cleaning, sanitisation, pest control, and equipment maintenance
Monitor site operations including waste disposal, recycling, and yard cleanliness
Respond to and resolve minor maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, equipment faults), or coordinate with third-party vendors for larger repairs
Manage allocation of warehouse space, parking bays, and welfare facilities
Track, manage and report on all facility-related budgets, costs, and project expenditures
Conduct supplier/vendor evaluations and negotiate contracts for cleaning, security, maintenance, equipment hires, and other services
Maintain accurate records of invoices, inspections, maintenance logs, and supplier details
Collaborate with our Health and Safety Co-ordinator to implement compliance with warehouse-specific safety regulations (manual handling, fire exits, lighting, ventilation, spill management, etc.)
Ensure regular servicing of heating, lighting, security systems, forklifts, and MHE infrastructure where applicable
Support wider operations and HR teams during onboarding to ensure workspace readiness for new starters
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in Facilities Management, preferably within a warehouse, logistics, or industrial setting
Hands-on experience with warehouse infrastructure and operational systems
Familiarity with facility maintenance tools, CMMS software, or other tracking systems (Desirable)
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in a warehouse environment
Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across operations, H&S, and third parties
Strong time management and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
