Are you an experienced facilities professional ready to take on a pivotal leadership role in a dynamic school environment?
We are seeking a proactive and skilled School Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our 27 acre school purpose-built site located on the outskirts of Northampton, ensuring it remains a safe, secure, and efficient space for our students, staff, and visitors.
About the Role:
As the School Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our site operations, ensuring our facilities are secure, well-maintained, and fully compliant with health and safety standards.
You will be responsible for: Site security, premises and grounds management
Maintenance of plant and equipment
Cleaning operations and enterprise activities
Health and safety compliance across the site
You will lead a team that includes the Facilities Supervisor, Premises Site Supervisors, Cleaning Manager, and Transport Team, who in turn manage the day-to-day operations delivered by caretakers, and enterprise teams.
Qualifications:
Relevant qualification in Facilities Management (e.g. IWFM Level 4 or equivalent), or a willingness to gain qualification within 6 months
Health & Safety Training (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH)
First Aid Certificate
Technical certifications such as Legionella Awareness, Asbestos Awareness, Pool Plant Operators, and Fire Warden (desirable)
MIDAS (Driver Assessor) Trainer qualification (desirable)
If you have:
Proven experience in premises management (preferably in an educational setting)
Ability to work effectively both in collaboration with other professionals/teams and on own initiative
