This is a predominantly shop floor position being involved in all aspects of business manufacturing operations to packaging and despatch. A production-based management discipline, with prime responsibility for production plan execution in a "best practice" operating environment.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Shop Floor Supervisor, Production Manager and Operations Director, this is a shop floor position being involved in all aspects of manufacturing operations. The manufacturing processes involved are rubber extrusion, compression moulding and various finishing operations.
Daily works order management and coordination of cross-functional actions to achieve the plan tasks in the plan time frame.
Data capture relating to works order progress, material stock control and operational performance, as well as management review data in relation to the operation of Quality, H&S, EMS, Risk Management and COSHH policies and procedures.
Facilitate effective communications across all levels of the business and contribute to promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Predominantly a production-based environment, working directly with the range of process equipment the job may frequently involve heavy lifting of mould tools and other process elements to the limits of the manual handling regulations.
The position is for 39 hours, which will include shift work with hours to be confirmed. Overtime will be available as required. You will work a three-month probation period with a view to a permanent position.

Qualifications / Skillsets
Desired skills
A hands on ability to manufacture rubber & plastic components using best practice in relation to product quality & process performance would be an advantage but training will be given.

Please note that the upper pay range declared is inclusive of shift allowance for night shift.
