Overview

We are excited to announce a job opening for a temporary to permanent position in our team. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented, dedicated individual to assist with picking, packing, and fulfilling customer orders from our retail online shop and other e-commerce platforms .

In addition to order fulfillment, the candidate will also function as a production assistant in our skin care product manufacturing facility as and when needed. It is essential that the candidate has reliable means of commuting and is willing to work long hours at short notice, occasionally including weekends.

Basic IT skills are required as the role involves the use of computers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently picking and preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic retail environment, with a focus on materials handling, stock organisation, and shipping procedures. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with warehouse experience or those eager to gain practical knowledge in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Carefully select and pack items according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness Handle materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting when necessary Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment following safety protocols (training provided) Manage stock levels through picking, packing, stocking, and replenishment activities Maintain organisation of warehouse storage areas to optimise space utilisation Assist with loading and unloading goods from lorries or containers using appropriate equipment Utilise warehouse management systems to record inventory movements and update stock records Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards Follow shipping & receiving procedures to prepare items for dispatch or receipt

Qualifications

Previous experience in warehousing, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is desirable but not essential as training will be provided Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with warehouse equipment is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Experience operating forklift trucks (certification preferred but not mandatory) Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software is a plus Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment Good physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
