Factory Standards Manager

to strengthen our technical team and drive excellence in food safety and compliance.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Factory Standards Manager

to lead the site Quality Assurance function. You will ensure the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and audit compliance across the site, while helping to build a strong food safety culture.

You will work closely with Technical, Operations and cross-functional teams to reduce non-conformances, support continuous improvement, and ensure the site remains audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with the Cranswick Manufacturing Standard, BRCGS Food Safety and retailer Codes of Practice Lead corrective actions, root cause analysis, and preventative actions Drive food safety culture and support KPI performance Support and lead customer, third-party and regulatory audits Drive improvements to reduce complaints and non-conformances Lead foreign body and listeria management plans Manage pest control, glass & hard plastic audits, and internal audit processes Support continuous improvement projects across the site Participate in the Technical on-call rota

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of food manufacturing, BRCGS and retailer standards Experience in a Senior QA, Compliance or Technical role Knowledge of allergen, listeria and foreign body management Proven ability to close out complex non-conformances Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills

Desirable (Training Can Be Provided):

HACCP Level 4 Food Safety Level 4 Listeria Level 4
