Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Factory Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of dedicated staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the factory environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the factory, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and production staff to foster a positive work environment. Implement and monitor health and safety regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Oversee inventory management, including raw materials and finished products, to optimise production flow. Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless operations. Analyse production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Develop and manage budgets for the factory operations, ensuring cost-effective practices are in place. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement in process enhancements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation. Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite. A degree in engineering, manufacturing management or a related field is preferred but not essential if accompanied by relevant experience.
