The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 55,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.


We are looking for a Faculty Events Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of a range of engagement events and initiatives, to support members locally and regionally in Wales and the Republic of Ireland.


For this varied and busy role, you will need relevant administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience of delivering both online and face to face events and managing basic finances is also desirable. You will work closely with our Faculty teams in Wales and the Republic of Ireland (RoI), as well as internal teams to maximise resource and impact.


A flexible approach to working hours is necessary as there will be some evening meetings at various locations in Wales, and attendance at RoI Faculty's annual Spring and Winter meetings. A flexi-time scheme is in operation.
