We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support within our legal team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily legal activities, managing correspondence, and assisting with document preparation. Duties
Prepare and type legal documents, correspondence, and reports using audio typing and Microsoft Office applications.
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates; coordinate with clients and external agencies as required.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communications professionally, ensuring timely responses.
Organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines using excellent time management skills.
Assist with the preparation of presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and other relevant software.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Requirements
Proven administrative experience, ideally within a legal environment.
Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy; excellent typing speed is essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software applications quickly.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
