Job Description

The FSW plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and freedom of survivors of domestic abuse living in the refuge . The primary focus of any FSW must focus the safety of adult and child survivors.

This role requires a proactive, survivor-centred approach, ensuring that integrated working between FSW's and C+YP's client safety and empowerment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Work with the Senior Family Support Worker, colleagues and volunteers to provide a support service and ensure that:

An initial assessment of individual's needs and risk levels is completed and reviewed

Keyworking, risk assessment, safety planning and advice is provided a support plan is agreed and reviewed with service Users with identified outcomes using the Empowerment Star

License agreements are issued and adhered to Liaison with MKCC re move on of service users is managed appropriately

Accurate records and data are completed for clients

Housing Benefit documents are completed and submitted

Safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded on the SG log and escalated to the SG Lead

Accurate records and case notes are updated for each survivor

A progamme of activities is provided for service users

Clients have access to DA Intervention Programmes

Client's views are received via House meetings, Feedback Forms and Service User Meetings

Referrals needing refuge space are contacted in a timely manner

Multi-Agency Coordination



Work in partnership and actively network with local statutory and voluntary services to promote safety and welfare of survivors. This includes frontline professionals with Adult Social care, Children's Services or health services.

Participate in multi-agency processes, advocating for survivors within relevant professional forums.

Engage in institutional advocacy, ensuring survivors' needs and rights are recognised within systemic responses.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES



Contributing to monitoring and evaluation processes and completing timely and accurate reports. This includes collecting feedback from survivors on their experiences of the service.

To carry out any administrative tasks necessary to comply with the job description.

Participate in the 24 hours on call service

Report repairs and maintenance to BPHA and monitor progress

Liaise with contractors

Ensure flat voids are reported and completed within the permitted time frame

Support volunteers working within the refuge

Participate in bi monthly case management

Attend all meetings and training as requested by the Senior FSW / Refuge Manager

Attend regular S+S sessions

Ensure that security of information is maintained and complies with the requirements of the Data protection Act

Accreditation



Work to achieve and maintain National or local standards of good practice and accreditation

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 15,398.24 per year

Expected hours: 22 per week
