We are searching for a chef to join our team in our thriving cafe kitchen, with an ever-increasing footfall.
The Ruby Red Cafe prides itself on quality home cooked food, using home-reared produce from our own family farm.
The position is full time, 5 days a week 8am-5pm.
The job will require 1 weekend day per week, no split shifts, and very occasional evening shifts to assist with our varying events (including weddings, parties & themed evenings based around our home-reared & local produce).
Christmas day, boxing day, New years Day & Easter Sunday Off!
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen.
Assist in meal preparation and presentation to enhance the dining experience.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Working in a small team is essential as we are a small family run business, able to work from own initiative and coping well under pressure.
Pay is negotiable & personal depending on factors such as skill & experience.
