Job Overview


The Fashion Designer will take a lead creative and strategic role in shaping our premium outerwear collections for men and women. Within our design?and?production hub, candidate will translate trend insight and brand vision into innovative garments, selecting fabrics, defining construction details, and overseeing prototyping through to full manufacture.

Main Duties of the Job:



Research and monitor fashion trends, fabrics and materials specifically for outerwear to inform collection development.

Develop creative concepts and sketches for premium outerwear designs (men's and women's), including mood boards, colour palettes, and material selections.

Collaborate with production, tailoring and manufacturing teams to oversee prototype development, fittings, sample reviews and final production of outerwear garments.

Source, select, and specify all fabrics, trims, hardware, and accessories, balancing aesthetic appeal, quality, and cost-effectiveness for the outerwear market.

Ensure the design output meets production schedules, quality control standards and brand consistency across all garment lines, ramping up manufacture without compromising craftsmanship.

Collaborate with the Lead Couturier & Style Director to ensure initial patterns are correctly graded and suitable for the manufacturing process and target fit.

Maintain and update design documentation, sample trackers, fabric libraries and trend archives to support ongoing design and production cycles.

Provide creative leadership within the design function, advising on new cuts, fits, tailoring techniques and outerwear innovation to differentiate the brand in the UK market.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications



The successful candidate must possess the following, which demonstrate the high skill level required for the role:

Qualifications



A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional qualification/experience) in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Ideally, further training or professional development in outerwear design, fabric technology, or high?end garment construction (desirable but not mandatory).
A strong design portfolio showcasing previously completed collections, concept sketches, technical specs and finished garments.

Experience



Minimum 2?3 years' commercial experience in fashion design, preferably with outerwear, tailored garments, or structured apparel.

Practical experience in the full product?development cycle: from concept, through prototyping, to production launch.

Experience collaborating with manufacturing teams, pattern makers, tailors and suppliers to bring designs to market.

Proven track record of translating trends and brand vision into tangible retail or production?ready collections.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: 37,000.00 per year
