Nesavaali is a growing fusion fashion brand rooted in storytelling, artisanal craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. As a dynamic, purpose-led fashion house operating across D2C retail, garment manufacturing, and creative storytelling, we're looking for a confident, highly organised Operations Lead to join our Southend-based team and become the key point of day-to-day coordination. This is a step-up role with a clear pathway into second-level leadership within 12-18 months.

Role Overview



This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership in a fashion business at a pivotal growth stage. The Operations Lead will lead the smooth daily running of operations across ecommerce, product development, supplier coordination, and wholesale functions. The Operations Lead will also support both the Creative and Operations Directors while supervising junior apprentices and using AI tools where helpful to improve productivity. The successful applicant will receive high-level business and leadership mentoring, attend all brand events, and be considered the preferred team representative for travel or off-site opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone self-led, creative, and excited about shaping a brand -- someone who values the mission, not just the pay.

Key Responsibilities



Daily Operations:

Oversee and organise day-to-day fashion house workflow across all departments Coordinate team check-ins, task assignments and timeline management Track performance metrics and help maintain a smooth operating rhythm
Supplier & Product Development:

Follow up with Indian suppliers on product development and sampling status Prepare and send design packs as advised by Creative Director Monitor timelines and ensure timely deliveries from vendors Maintain tracker sheets and critical path timelines
Wholesale & Business Support:

Prepare and send wholesale packs as advised by Operations Director Liaise with clients and vendors via email and WhatsApp professionally Track PO status, shipments, and support documentation needs
Team Leadership & Communication:

Support and guide apprentices across ecommerce, marketing, and sales Lead by example in accountability and task follow-through Coordinate with all departments and founders on daily priorities
Efficiency & Tools:

Use AI tools or systems to assist with communications, reports, and productivity Suggest workflow improvements and better ways of working
Fashion House Duties:

Maintain an organised, clean working environment Handle packaging inventory and shipment readiness during launches

The Candidate:



Relevant professional experience (open to equivalent capabilities) Highly organised, self-led and detail-oriented Strong communicator with the ability to manage people and tasks Willing to learn and grow with the role -- takes initiative and ownership Experience working with suppliers (fashion, lifestyle, retail, or creative production) Good negotiation and problem-solving skills Digitally confident and open to using AI and tech tools Local or easily commutable to the Southend-on-Sea office Passionate about fashion, design, or creative industries Background or knowledge in design, product development or fashion business is beneficial
