JOB PURPOSE
To deliver and plan high-quality football sessions for girls aged 10-16 at the Dome, a community space run by Queen's Crescent Community Association. The role is dedicated to engaging and supporting young people in Gospel Oak and the wider Camden community through sport, creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where girls can develop their football skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging football sessions for girls aged 10-16, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment.
Enhance young people's personal and social development through football and related activities that promote informal learning, confidence, and fun.
Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, acting as a positive role model both on and off the pitch.
Adapt sessions to meet individual needs and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Support young people's wellbeing by providing guidance in a holistic and inclusive way.
Work with members of the Youth Services team to deliver QCCA's Youth Services Strategy through football and sports provision.
Contribute to the planning and development of girls' football projects, involving young people in decision-making wherever possible.
Encourage healthier lifestyles, physical activity, and pathways for progression in football (e.g., local clubs, teams, and competitions).
Actively promote QCCA's Youth Services and football programmes to increase participation.
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all young people in line with QCCA policies.
Attend training and team meetings as required.
Undertake administrative duties including attendance registers, monitoring and evaluation, and recording outcomes.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football
Minimum 6 months' experience working with young people in a youth or community setting
Experience working with women and girls in a sports or community setting
Experience as a football coach or sports coach
Experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating sports projects or sessions
Able to work as a member of a team
Able to work on own initiative
Able to engage and build positive relationships with young people
Excellent communication and listening skills
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.85 per hour
