Job Description

Job purpose:

To support the delivery of a physical performance programme across the Emerging Talent Centre and Girls Academy/ Performance squads. Within the role you will be involved in physical testing/ screening, individual and group physical sessions and gym sessions. The role includes working alongside age group coaches and physiotherapists to provide best development environment for the players.

Role Competencies:



Planning Timescales:



To plan and deliver a physical performance programme across the ETC, Girls Performance and Academy squads.

Decision Making:



Maintain appropriate physical performance records in keeping with the clubs' requirements to monitor progress and aid further physical player development.

Impact & Influence:



The role will be primarily based at Fairfield's Sports Hub and will involve regular travel to away games.

To connect with coaching staff to support physical development within training sessions

Ensure governance within the MK Dons SET Female Talent pathway is adhered too

To ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and staff are a priority.

To perform other duties as required which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Milton Keynes Dons Sport and Education Trust.

To undertake every opportunity to promote a positive image of Milton Keynes Dons Sport and Education Trust.

Communication:



To support the relationships between club, player, and parent

Uphold good communication with the Senior Sports Therapist and Student Sports Therapists.

Liaise professionally and effectively with the ETC & Girls Academy coaching and medical staff and provide clear reports on all injuries and treatment plans.

Lead & Develop:



Develop, implement and evaluate rehabilitation programmes for ETC players

Operating Parameters:



Ensuring that players and parents abide by the Club's Code of Conduct and Respect guidelines

Complete all admin processes, session planning methodology, reviews and other operational requirements on time and to a high quality.

To store and maintain the kit and equipment you are given as part of your role.

To ensure accurate monitoring of records for all activities are maintained.

To be responsible for reporting all safeguarding issues when notified via the correct mechanisms

Essential & Desirable Job Criteria:



FA Safeguarding Children Course

BSc in a Sport Science/Strength & Conditioning or equivalent qualification

Hold a UK Strength & Conditioning association (UKSCA) or ASCC Accreditation

Pitch side first aid qualification, ideally ITMMIF.

Sound clinical assessment and treatment skills

Highly motivated, reliable, and proactive with a good understanding of the sport and their own scope of practice.

Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with footballers, coaches, , medical staff and such individuals in a personable and professional manner.

Flexible approach to work, to dedicate time to the club as the schedule determines.

Have the drive and enthusiasm to set high standards.

Highest standards of professional and personal conduct, especially confidentiality.

Full clean driving license

Attending relevant CPD

Knowledge and understanding of working with young players U7 to U18+

Ability to work in a team environment

Understanding of various governing body football coaching plans and initiatives

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.60 per hour
