About The Role

We currently require a Fettler to work on castings to achieve the quality standard required by both Paralloy Group and the Customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

To Fettle/Excavate castings to the Quality Standard required by customer and Paralloy Quality Procedures. To be as cost effective and efficient as possible. To work to Paralloy Health & Safety Work Rules. To adhere to Paralloy Contract of Employment. To be able to use both Hi Cycles and air grinding tools, Training will be given in the event of no experience in this field. To Fettle castings to profile and excavate casting defects in preparation for welding To remove any defects and fettle to profile To work safely within the workplace To be competent in driving overhead cranes, training will be given to the right candidate if required. To work closely with other members of Fettling/Welding/Inspection teams To work to provided production plans laid out by management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Previous Fettling Experience Manual Handling experience Abrasive Wheel experience Slinging experience Knowledge of continuous improvement. Basic understanding of quality issues Basic knowledge of health and safety within the workplace
