Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to take on a dual role as a
Field Care Supervisor / Community Engagement Officer
. This unique position combines the critical responsibility of supporting and supervising frontline care workers with the proactive task of building meaningful relationships within the community. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of care delivery and foster greater engagement with clients, families, stakeholders, and the wider public.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Care Supervision
Conduct regular spot checks, observations, and quality assurance visits to ensure care services are delivered in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide direct support, guidance, and training to care staff in the field.
Participate in the induction of new care workers and support their onboarding.
Complete care assessments, risk assessments, and person-centred care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
Monitor care documentation, medication administration records (MARs), and logbooks for accuracy and compliance.
Respond to and resolve service delivery issues promptly, escalating concerns when necessary.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Community Engagement
Act as an ambassador for the organisation, representing it positively within the community and at local events, forums, and networking meetings.
Build partnerships with local organisations, healthcare professionals, voluntary groups, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement outreach initiatives to promote the service and identify new referral opportunities.
Organise and support events and campaigns that raise awareness of care services and promote inclusion and wellbeing for clients.
Gather feedback from service users, families, and professionals to support service improvement and innovation.
Promote a person-centred approach and uphold the organisation's values in all external and internal engagements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
Proven experience in domiciliary/home care or health and social care settings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organisation and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of safeguarding, person-centred care, and relevant legislation (e.g. CQC standards).
Confidence in engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Experience in community outreach, marketing, or stakeholder engagement.
Previous experience in a supervisory or training role.
Knowledge of local community networks and services.
