As a Field Care Supervisor, you will work in partnership with the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator to ensure that clients receive safe, effective, and high-quality care that meets their individual needs and preferences as per the company's quality assurance policy. As part of your role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting carers and ensuring that the service complies with regulatory requirements through care planning, risk assessing, recording and reporting
The Field Care Supervisor's duties include:
Working with clients:
To maintain an effective system in consultation with the Registered Manager for quality assurance management based on the outcomes for clients, in which standards and indicators to be achieved are clearly defined and monitored on a continuous basis, ensuring that all clients and their carers are consulted about the care service.
Provide the client and where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise any concerns.
Keep all the information about clients and their families secure and confidential except where policies require you to share to protect the interested of our clients.
Act appropriately in emergency situations, reporting incidents whilst respecting client's sensitivity, privacy and confidentiality and respond to crisis situations effectively by summoning appropriate assistance.
To carry out introductory visits of new carers to a client.
To provide care to the service users and rapid response where required by the organisation.
Working with staff:
To liaise closely with the Care Coordinator in relation to?recruitment, allocation of Carers and ensure contingency within the service.
To monitor, supervise and support carers in the field.
To carry out spot checks and observations.
Give carers appropriate information and guidance to provide care and support effectively and safely as agreed in the care and support plan.
Report changes to care schedules without delay to the coordinator.
Liaise with the Care Coordinator to arrange introduction meetings for clients and carers where they have not met before. Also carry out competency checks on new care staff
Provide Rapid Response.
Support the Registered Manager or Live in Care manager to arrange and manage staff changeovers and handovers for live in care assignments.
One week in 4 out of hours support.
Maintain and improve quality and compliance
To be conversant with the relevant regulations and legislation governing the service.
Investigate matters relating to the quality of the service and implement improvements.
Monitor the performance of carers and carry out spot checks at the client's home to make sure the service is being delivered in line with company procedures.
Always apply Walfinch policies and procedures and make sure that accidents and incidents are recorded, reported, and acted upon.
Make sure care and support is provided in line with regulatory requirements.
Work effectively with clients, their families and representatives, other social and health care professionals and managers and staff from Walfinch to deliver high quality homecare services.
To ensure that all written reports and required administration is kept up to date in a timely fashion.

Participate in training activities, appraisals, and development meetings where required by the Registered Manager.
Take part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota as and when required. Effectively deal with emergency on-call issues e.g., covering calls either directly or indirectly when carers are sick or absent. Record emergency calls and pass the information to appropriate parties and report any concerns immediately.
To undertake duties appropriate to the scope of the position as may be required from time to time.
