Role Overview:



We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused VoIP Engineer to join our growing team at Better. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP solutions that enable our clients to communicate effectively and securely. You will work closely with both clients and colleagues to deliver tailored telecommunications systems, ensuring reliability, quality, and innovation at every stage. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving to make a real impact in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

:

Plan, design, and implement customized VoIP solutions tailored to client requirements. Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP hardware and software (IP phones, routers, switches, servers). Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for VoIP systems, promptly addressing any issues. Monitor VoIP network performance, optimising call quality and system reliability as needed. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards, including the implementation of encryption and access controls. Document VoIP configurations, network diagrams, and installation processes. Train clients and end-users on VoIP system features and functionality.

What we're looking for

:

Proven experience with VoIP system installation, configuration, and support. Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, codecs, and SIP. Knowledge of network protocols and LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers and switches. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Certifications such as CCNA or VoIP-specific credentials are advantageous. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
