Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands for ease of coverage. This role involves providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for manufacturing facilities and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, with experience in industrial maintenance and customer service. The position offers opportunities to work with advanced systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA, and CMMS software, ensuring optimal operation of complex machinery across the window and door industry. Candidates with experience in the window and door industry or electrical and mechanical industries are encouraged to apply.

Duties



Perform installation, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using schematics, multimeters (ohmmeters, ammeters), and other precision measuring instruments. Diagnose and resolve high voltage and low voltage electrical problems in industrial settings. Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, and CMMS platforms to track maintenance activities. Conduct analysis of equipment performance data to identify potential failures or inefficiencies. Assist in the training of plant personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures. Utilize technical sales skills when recommending upgrades or new solutions to clients. Work with diverse machinery including HVAC/R systems, welding equipment (including welding), scissor lifts, and other industrial tools. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities. Support customer service initiatives by providing timely solutions and technical expertise at client sites.

Qualifications



Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience in high voltage and low voltage systems. Familiarity with schematics, control systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques ( welding preferred), and precision measuring instruments. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and analysis tools. Ability to operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely. Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with analysis capabilities for complex machinery issues. Effective customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English. Industrial electrician experience or military background related to technical maintenance is highly desirable. Valid driver's license required for travel between client sites as needed. Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
