Job Overview


Based in Cannock, Staffordshire, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining spray booths at various customer locations across the UK. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

The role of Field Service Engineer will include



Shadowing, training with other engineers and gaining product knowledge within the initial first 3 months Perform service, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Completion of breakdown repairs and planned remedial works Mechanical servicing and repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts and bearings Electrical servicing and repairs on single/3 phase motors and electrics, inverters, sensors and control panels Carry out testing - including LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Testing) and ACT (Air Clearance Test) Input and Extract filter replacements Fault finding/diagnostics and PPMs Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of products Maintain accurate records of service activities and report findings to management Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product performance and reliability Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on-site Flexibility as may require the occasional overnight stay

Key Skills/ Experience Required



Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and manage time effectively A valid UK driving license (not exceeding 6 points) and ability to travel, be flexible and stay overnight if required Must have experience working with single or 3 phase motors Mechanical hands-on experience working with changing belts, shafts, bearings, motors or drives Must be happy to carry out work which may involve heavy lifting of materials and working from height as required Experience with industrial burners is desirable Possession of a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Wiring Qualification or HNC/HND equivalent is desirable. Possession of Gas Safe Certificate would be advantageous
