Pattern: Full time, Monday to Friday.
Following successful completion of probation, the role includes participation in a one-week-in-two on-call rota, covering 24/7 out-of-hours callouts. An on-call allowance is provided, with overtime pay for call-out attendance.

About the Company:
At CNG Fuels, we are pioneers in the sustainable energy sector with a mission to drive fleet emissions in the transportation industry to zero through our innovative solutions.
We construct, own, and manage our own network of state-of-the-art Bio-CNG public access refuelling stations, procuring our own 100% renewable Biomethane. Our Bio-CNG is derived entirely from biomethane extracted from waste materials such as food, animal, and wastewater. It undergoes independent verification and is sanctioned by the Department for Transport's Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO).

Role Overview:
Due to our further expansion and rapid growth plan, we are recruiting a field-based Engineer in the Scotland area.
The ideal candidate must have great engineering skills, communication skills, be a team player and willing to learn new skills and work in the field of compressed gas products.
You do not have to be an existing compressor engineer as we will provide training.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned maintenance on compressors and compressed gas systems.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned refuelling stations.
Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, identifying parts needed, and completing repairs.
Document all maintenance activities using company-provided hardware and software; completing relevant paperwork in detail, ensuring it is clear, accurate and legible.
Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and being available for overtime at short notice.
Must be able to accurately complete all required documentation to ensure daily operations remain compliant with company standards.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling digital files and reports.
Ability to use Microsoft Office tools to support daily operations and maintain compliance standards.
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role, as required by the business.
Essential Requirements:
Mechanical / Electrical experience and qualifications, with a minimum Level 2 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Previous mechanical/pneumatic experience carrying out maintenance on vehicles, plant/farms and/or factory systems.
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Health & Safety regulations and best practices in high-risk environments, including on-site operations involving high-pressure gas systems and complex mechanical equipment. Ability to identify hazards, implement control measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
Able to use own initiative as well as working as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
Key Desirables:
Prior experience with compressors or high-pressure systems, including PLCs and 3-phase electrics.
Competent in Electrical ATEX.
Electrical ATEX experience: 1 year (preferred).
Mechanical / Electrical experience: 1 year (preferred).
