Job Summary



We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Field Service Engineer ideally specialising in machinery and equipment used in the window and door industry to join our team. However previous experience in the window and door industry is not essential as training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will be located within or close to either Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire or Buckinghamshire for ease of coverage. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services directly at customer sites. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of window and door machinery, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and quality standards. A company vehicle will be provided. Overnight stays will be required on some jobs. Responsibilities



Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of window and door machinery at various customer locations. Diagnose technical issues using circuit diagrams, and analysis skills to identify root causes efficiently. Utilise measuring instruments and multimeters to ensure accurate repairs and adjustments. Conduct electrical work involving low voltage, high voltage, and industrial electrician practices in compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of service activities for tracking repairs, parts used, and scheduled maintenance using a computerised system. Communicate effectively with customers to provide technical sales support, explain repairs or upgrades, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements



Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as an industrial engineer within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Strong electro-mechanical knowledge combined with experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial PCs, servo controls and pneumatics. Demonstrated electrical experience with low voltage systems, high voltage safety protocols, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Ability to interpret schematics accurately to perform complex repairs or installations. Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues efficiently on-site or remotely. Relevant certifications or experience in industrial electro-mechanical work, preferred. Strong customer service orientation with good communication skills in English; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients.
