We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and installation of equipment at client locations. Duties
Install, commission, and maintain equipment at various client sites in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
Diagnose technical issues efficiently and provide effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
Provide training and technical support to clients on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Document service activities accurately using company reporting systems.
Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to address customer needs and improve service offerings.
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies during all field activities.
Travel frequently to different locations, often requiring overnight stays, to meet client requirements.
Skills
Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably within a field service environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues swiftly.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls efficiently.
Good communication skills, capable of explaining technical information clearly to clients with varying levels of understanding.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
Valid driving licence is essential; willingness to travel extensively is required.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with specific industry equipment, certification in relevant technical fields, or experience with remote diagnostics tools.
