Role description

:

Owing to a strong order book and future growth projections, we have a requirement for a

Field Service Engineer

to join our established team.

Job duties will be servicing and installation of automated equipment on a UK- and Ireland-wide basis with the future possibility of occasional European and Worldwide work.

Initial training will be on-the-job shadowing the existing service engineers until self-sufficient. Ongoing training will be provided due to our wide range of product solutions.

Applicants should have provable electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience gained from working in fast-paced production environments in either a similar role as a service engineer/technician, or as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with a desire to develop into a customer-focused service engineering role.

Note: the Valco Melton UK office is in Telford, Shropshire, and the candidate would be expected to report to the office on days when they are not traveling.

Skills and Qualifications

:

Electrical and / or Mechanical formal qualifications. Fault-finding experience. Manufacturing industry experience. Installation experience. Capable of liaising with customers / clients in a friendly professional manner. Able to write service reports. Willingness to learn and a can-do approach that will follow the job through to completion. Able to show initiative and take ownership of tasks. A flexible approach to working hours and also able to work occasional weekends. Willingness to travel on a UK/Ireland-wide basis and, where necessary, stay overnight.
