Our target markets include Automotive, Automotive Aftermarket, Aerospace, Light Assembly and General Industry.



We are currently looking to recruit a Field Service & Support Engineer. In this flexible role, you will support the implementation of the service strategy and support the project team by taking responsibility for specific projects and commissioning related activities.

The role:




Main focus will be working with the Desoutter process control and data analytics softwares, and also electric tooling ranges with associated Accessories. Work predominantly in the North West and Midlands but also cover requirements throughout the UK & Ireland when required Promote and Support Desoutter 4.0 and our mission to enable our customers to accelerate their transformation by delivering excellent service and boosting their uptime, productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

On a 1-week rotational basis, provide remote support to customers via support portal. Visit customers to investigate and repair tooling and equipment on a planned and emergency call out basis Effectively diagnose, mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment Installation, diagnosis and resolving issues with high level software and communication systems Installation & commissioning of new equipment & projects Carry out customer training as required Identify the parts and costs required to prepare customer quotations Maintain Service Tooling and calibration equipment ensuring they remain in good condition Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

The following requirements are essential:

Ability to think laterally in problem solving both software and mechanical faults with a keen attention to detail Ability to modify style in order to achieve results and maintain effectiveness. Ability to utilise appropriate interpersonal styles and methods. Develop an understanding of the processes within other areas of the business

Essential Experience/Knowledge requirements:

Experience of factory software systems (i.e. process control, andon, data analytics) Experience of DC tooling systems and reaction devices Microsoft Office and computer skills Knowledge of electrical / electronic controls Experience in mechanical engineering.

Educational requirements:

The following requirements are desirable:




Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification

The successful candidate must have the following to apply for this position:

UK work permit Full UK Driving license
