MONDAY TO THURSDAY, 8am - 4.30pm & FRIDAY 7AM - 3:30pm

We are a family owned business manufacturing food in jars for supermarkets, wholesalers and independent retailers.

Role Responsibility
We are currently looking for a trainee Filling Machine and Capping Machine Setter and Operator. The main purpose of this role is to setup up and operate the filling machine and the capping machine. This is a key role in our business. You will be required to:

- Setup the machines ready for production with the correct settings for the different jar and lid sizes

- Adjust the settings as necessary during the filling and production process

- Get the jars and caps from the stores as required for production and return them in an organised neat and clean fashion at the end of production

- Periodically carry out weight and lid checks during production and recalibrate the machines as necessary

- Complete the necessary production paperwork in an accurate and neat fashion

- Communicate clearly and pro actively with the cook room and the labelling room before during and after production to ensure smooth and efficient operations

- Clean down the machine after production according to the cleaning schedules

- Keep the area clean and tidy at all times

Full training will be given, however, some experience of operating machinery is an advantage.

Flexibility towards working hours is essential as some days we may run past 4.30pm

Desirable skills but not essential

Factory experience Awareness of health and safety rules and procedures Understanding of food safety

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
