Job Description

An established Engineering Solutions company are seeking a skilled Finance and Administrative Assistant to join the Finance team on a permanent basis. This role supports a variation of key tasks across the team and is ideal for someone detail-focused, adaptable and confident using Sage 200 within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Ensuring purchase invoices are matched to delivery notes in a timely manner, investigating any discrepancies before posting through Sage 200.
  • Conducting supplier statement reconciliations, and addressing any queries.
  • Preparing weekly reports on cashflow forecasting.
  • Performing daily reconciliations between the cashbook and bank statements, ensuring all cash receipts and payments are posted promptly.
  • Carrying out credit control activities to ensure customer payments are received within agreed terms.
  • Using documentation from Internal Sales to prepare quotes through Sage 200.
  • Ensuring company registers are maintained accurately.
Applicants to this role require
  • Previous experience in a busy office environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and previous experience using Sage 200 advantageous.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, whilst ensuring tasks are completed in adherence with deadlines.
  • Team oriented mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
