Finance Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our growing team based in Brundall. This role will suit someone with solid all-round finance administration experience who enjoys variety and responsibility. You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the delivery of accurate reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities



Sales & Purchase Ledger: Accurate processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations. Monthly Reporting & MI Packs: Prepare management information and monthly accounts in line with business requirements. VAT Returns & Year End: Assist with VAT preparation/submissions and support annual statutory reporting. Intercompany Accounts: Manage recharges, reconciliations, and balances across group entities. Cash Flow: Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts linked to the wider business plan. Payroll & Journals: Process payroll journals, deferred income journals, accruals, prepayments, and recharges. Utilities & Meter Readings: Collect, record, and submit meter readings (water, electricity, etc.) to providers. Credit Control: Monitor outstanding debt, chase overdue payments, and manage debtor communications. Petty Cash & Expenses: Administer petty cash, company credit card reconciliations, and staff expenses. Cross-Accounts Support: Provide finance support across multiple businesses and adapt to different reporting requirements.

What We're Looking For



Previous experience in a finance administrator, accounts assistant, or similar role. Strong understanding of ledgers, journals, reconciliations, and management reporting. Working knowledge of VAT, payroll journals, and intercompany transactions. Proficient with accounting systems and Excel. Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail. A proactive approach with the confidence to chase debts and resolve issues. Ability to manage workload across multiple businesses and priorities.
