Overview


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a

Finance Administrator

to join our Accounts Team at CPS Building Services Ltd, in Over. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the delivery and ownership of processing invoices from suppliers and subcontractors, purchase ledger management which will also have scope for growth and development of skills. Assisting other team members, when required with tasks such as: assisting with the sales ledger, credit control and retentions. The Accounts team works collaboratively to continually strive for process improvements to increase efficiency within the department. This role is 41.5 hours per week; Monday - Thursday 08:00-17:00, Fridays 08:00-16:00.

Main responsibilities will include:



Control and management of the purchase ledger Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring the business is represented well throughout each stage of the purchase ledger process Processing and inputting manual purchase invoices Controller of e-invoicing, ensuring invoices are posted to the supplier's accounts within an appropriate timeframe Working with operations teams to ensure correct approvals workflows for supplier invoices Post credit notes and follow up with supplier if a refund is due Addressing supplier queries Ensuring invoices are reconciled to supplier statements in time for the payment Ensuring purchase invoices are logged and approved Processing payment runs through the bank and finance system Posting all DD's and Debit Card transactions in finance system Monitoring monthly supplier rebates Other Ad Hoc duties as required

To be considered for this position, you must have:



Minimum Pass of Maths and English at GSCE level or equivalent At least 1 year of experience of Accounts Payable Part qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification would be an advantage (we will support those working toward a qualification to continue their studies) Knowledge of working in a construction environment would be an advantage but not essential Capability to work productively independently and as part of a team Proven ability to multi-task in a driven environment and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail Problem solving skills Excellent communication skills
