Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside, with particular focus on women who are involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Our vision is for women and girls to feel safe, valued and in control of their own life choices.
From our women centres, we provide tailored support across a range of different pathways, including housing, domestic abuse, debt and unemployment. As a charity led by women, for women, we provide trauma informed, holistic support to help break cycles of trauma, abuse and re-offending, and evoke systems change.
Role Summary
As Finance Administrator you will work with the Chief Finance Officer to support with financial administration of Together Women. This role will be integral to the annual audit process and will feed into the organisation's strategic vision.
This role will support centre managers' day-day financial tasks; including bank reconciliation, invoicing, petty cash and credit card expenditure / cost coding within the organisational finance function Xero.
Alongside managing some of finance tasks, we are seeking a proactive Finance Administrator to assist with the day-to-day administrative finance tasks, and will include liasing with managers, reporting on spend and managing some of our gas/electricity accounts.
Key accountabilities
Finance Administration
Managing the petty cash for the centres as required.
Maintain the accounts
Manage the Finance inbox
Upload and code Purchase Invoices onto our Dext programme for approval
Maintain Debtors & Creditors Ledger.
Support with the weekly Bacs run.
Conduct book-keeping task as instructed by the Manager, and maintain financial records.
Prepare and balance financial spreadsheets.
Assist with the planning and budgeting development with the Manager.
General Responsibilities
Be flexible and carry out other associated duties as may arise, develop or be assigned in line with the broad remit of the position.
Contribute to overall management and organisation development of TW by attending meetings and training as required.
Maintain and improve competencies through continuous professional development.

Role Requirements/Person Specification
Essential:
Proven experience within office administration role, to include maintaining accounts, financial statements and reports.
Knowledge of financial software packages to include XERO/Sage or other bespoke packages and payroll systems. Bookkeeping.
Confident knowledge to ensure all financial regulations are followed.
Excellent communication - both written and verbal and time management skills.
Analytical and problem solving mindset.
Desirable:
Qualification: AAT Level 2
Experience of financial administration in the charitable sector
Skills and Abilities
Personal resilience and the ability to stay focused in a rapidly changing environment.
Willingness and enthusiasm to gain an understanding of the Criminal Justice System, agencies working in it and current policy development in the field as well as national and local government structures, funding streams and lines of decision-making.
