Role Overview:
You'll report to the Finance Operations Manager, acting as a crucial part of our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible and fast learner to gain a solid foundation in finance. Your main mission will be to support the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control teams, getting involved in various daily tasks and ad-hoc projects. You'll be the go-to person for both internal and external stakeholders, helping to keep our financial operations running smoothly.
Your Daily Quest (Key Responsibilities):
Handle new customer accounts:
You'll open new customer accounts, verify contract details, and set credit limits.
Customer queries:
Be the first point of contact for customer questions via the AR inbox and our ticketing system, providing timely and helpful responses.
Invoice processing:
Take ownership of customer purchase orders and upload invoices to customer portals.
Process payments:
Take and record card payments from customers.
General financial support:
Raise ad-hoc sales invoices, file accounts documentation, and provide general assistance to the wider finance team.
Compliance support:
Update customer addresses to ensure compliance with new banking regulations.
The Secret Sauce (Key Experience & Skills):
Financial Knowledge: A basic understanding of finance principles, particularly in accounts receivable and credit control, is needed.* Software Proficiency: You should be a whiz with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.* Experience: Previous experience in a similar finance support or administrative role is a plus.* Attention to Detail: You are analytical and have a high level of attention to detail, enjoying the challenge of problem-solving.* Communication Skills: You're comfortable and confident in answering and actioning calls and queries both internally and externally.*
