: Admin & Finance Assistant



Position Overview



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Admin & Finance Assistant

to support both the financial operations and administrative functions of the organization. This role combines bookkeeping duties with rota management and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities



Finance & Bookkeeping



Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting software. Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payments. Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash as needed. Assist with payroll preparation and processing. Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Assist with audits, tax filings, and end-of-year financial reporting. Support management with financial data and insights for decision-making.

Rota Management



Maintain the

Super Rota

, making necessary adjustments for smooth functionality. Complete and manage the

6-week rota

, ensuring accuracy and adaptability. Monitor and adjust the daily rota for unforeseen changes such as absences or emergencies. Notify team leaders and staff of any rota changes in a timely manner. Track lateness and shift swaps, maintaining up-to-date records.

Administrative Support



Manage the payroll compliance process efficiently and address queries raised by staff. Determine and track relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for incentive schemes. Provide administrative support across core areas, including payroll and staff records. Assist with day-to-day office management and communication with staff and managers.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant, or in a similar finance/admin role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in computer use, accounting software (Sage preferred), and Microsoft Excel. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills



Familiarity with payroll systems. Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in rota planning or workforce scheduling.

Work Environment



Full-time Office-based role.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
