Role Overview

We're seeking a digitally fluent, forward-thinking,

qualified accountant

to join our modern finance team in a newly created

Finance and Automation Lead

role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines strong financial acumen with a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency, insight, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will be motivated by accuracy, efficiency, and business impact -- and view automation, process design, and AI as key enablers of finance transformation.

You will play a pivotal role in evolving our finance operations into a more automated, insight-led, and strategically impactful function.

What We're Looking For

Finance Expertise

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Strong financial knowledge, with the ability to understand and interpret complex data. Commercially aware and able to link financial insights to broader business objectives.

Technology & Automation Skills

Excellent IT skills with a proven track record of implementing or improving

automated financial processes

. Experience developing ERP systems (e.g., Intact iQ, NetSuite, SAP B1, Sage Intacct). Competence in digital tools that support financial automation, reporting, and workflow optimisation.

Digital Fluency

Confident using cloud-based collaboration platforms, BI dashboards, and digital reporting tools. Understanding of paperless systems including OCR, automated workflows, and e-signature platforms.

Process Orientation

Skilled in documenting and optimising scalable finance processes. Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive end-to-end improvements using technology.

AI Awareness

Familiarity with AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar. Comfortable applying AI tools for analysis, reporting, or process support.

Change Mindset

Proactive and innovation-driven, with the ability to lead and support digital change. Strong communicator who can train and influence others in adopting new systems and tools.

Experience Required

3-5+ years in a finance role (e.g., Finance Analyst, Finance Manager, Digital Finance Lead) within a digitally progressive organisation. Demonstrated experience with:

Finance process automation

ERP implementation or upgrades

Use of AI and BI tools in finance workflows

Background in high-transaction, technology-forward industries such as ecommerce, SaaS, wholesale, or FMCG.

ERP Systems:

Intact iQ (preferred), NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP B1, Sage Intacct, Xero

BI & Dashboards:

Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or ERP-native dashboards

AI Tools:

Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar

Collaboration:

SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar

Automation & Paperless Tools:

OCR software, automated workflows, e-signature platforms
