Job Description

As Finance Assistant, you'll play a vital role in our finance team but we're not just looking for someone to execute tasks. We want someone who actively questions how things are done, constantly explores what can be automated, and brings a sharp eye for AI-powered innovation. You'll be hands-on with core finance processes, while also being encouraged and supported to design, test, and implement smarter, faster ways of doing things--from invoice handling to expense tracking, reconciliations, reporting and beyond. This is a launchpad role for someone with a passion for both finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities


Invoice Processing


Vet payable invoices and highlight possible errors or fraud. Obtain payment approval from senior stakeholders. Load invoices for payment accurately. Ensure correct accounting treatment and cost allocation. Identify ways to streamline or automate processes using AI tools.

Debt Management


Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices. Escalate debt concerns and explore AI for smarter prioritisation and reminders. Manage employee expenses process and improve via automation and AI. Perform bank reconciliations and invoice matching. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. Support month-end processing tasks. Engage in ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Financial Knowledge:

Experience or a degree in Accounting & Finance is preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong Excel skills and a keen interest in AI.

Analytical Proficiency

: Analytical thinking and a love for working with numbers.

Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
