The role of Finance Assistant will be to take responsibility for maintaining accurate and up-to-date income records. This role is essential in ensuring that all income streams are correctly recorded and reconciled in line with the organisation's finance regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Cash book management/ Accounts receivable
Petty cash management including processing petty cash payments
Making and recording of lodgements to various bank accounts
Journal preparation and data input to the financial systems
Assisting with or undertaking financial audits and petty cash inspections at Praxis' sites
Processing and allocation of direct debit and credit card payments on our finance system
Providing ad hoc reports, investigation or analysis as required
Regularly liaising with management and staff at Praxis' sites, and with banks and other external parties as necessary
Assisting with updating and implementing of new policies, procedures and processes as required

Experience & Qualifications:
5 GCSE's /O levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English & Mathematics. Candidates must demonstrate on application and certification how their qualification is equivalent to a Grade C in English and Mathematics as stand-alone subjects
1 years experience working in a finance office
Reconciliation experience
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised and within tight deadlines
Willingness to assist in other areas in finance department as and when required
Experience of liaising with external bodies and internal staff at all levels
Attributes:
Enthusiastic and flexible
An eagerness to provide a quality service to operational departments
Required Criteria
5 GCSE's /O levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English & Mathematics
Right to Work in the UK
1 years experience working in a finance office
Desired Criteria
Knowledge of Integra accounting package
Experience of Microsoft Suite including Word, Access and Outlook
