As our Finance Assistant / Credit Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance department, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining effective credit control procedures.
30 hours to be worked over 5 days. Salary up to 23,000
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts
Contact customers regarding overdue payments in a professional and customer-focused manner
Allocate and reconcile incoming payments
Assist with purchase ledger processing and supplier payments
Support month-end and year-end financial reporting
Prepare customer statements and maintain accurate records in the accounting system
Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoicing or payment queries
Contribute to process improvements within the finance function
About You:
Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or credit control role
Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
A proactive approach and a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships
