On behalf of HM Land Registry, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35) for an initial 3-month contract based Hybrid - 3 days in Plymouth.

As a Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be:



Build an in-depth understanding of the organisation; providing financial advice and support to budget managers and ensuring financial issues are resolved and governance processes adhered to. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders both in the business and the wider finance and corporate support functions. Providing data-led and insight driven business partnering, working with the business to improve its understanding of its cost and quality drivers to drive effective use of resources. Support and advise transformation projects and programmes on the development of robust investment appraisals and business cases which comply with internal financial procedures and all applicable approvals and governance processes, using Treasury business case guidance where appropriate. Contribute to the development of clear, concise business case policies and procedures. Support, advise and challenge to budget managers in in-year and multi-year budgeting, forecasting and resource planning activities ensuring financial risks, value-for money principles and the benefits of transformation activities are fully considered. Develop and implement high quality, robust, relevant and timely management information for budget managers, optimising the use of financial modelling, systems and tools to support evidence-based decision making. Act as the interface between central Finance and the business, proactively identifying and facilitating improvements in finance-related processes and procedures and promoting efficiencies in how Finance and the business interact.

Essential:



Experience as a skilled finance professional, with strong analytical ability and commercial awareness. Strong ability to interpret, analyse, simplify and present complex financial information to non-finance staff at all levels of the organisation. Ability to quickly build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, adapting communication styles to have maximum impact and establish yourself as a trusted, credible advisor. Ability to exercise sound judgement in providing financial support and advice, effectively using data, balancing the need to challenge and support teams appropriately. CCAB (or equivalent) qualified accountant.
