Overview


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Finance Clerk/Credit Control Administrator

to join our team and support the smooth running of our finance operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and administration. This is a varied position requiring a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities



Credit Control - responsible for the prompt payment of customer accounts.

Posting bank transactions and reconciling daily

Reviewing and posting Credit Card statement

Obtaining necessary PO authorization for purchase invoices

Processing purchase invoices onto Xero

Reviewing staff expenses claims, ensuring due process is followed then sending weekly expenses for approval and making necessary payments

Making requested payments following authorization and processing on Xero

Requesting and reconciling supplier statements and preparing monthly supplier payment run

Making supplier payments and processing on Xero

Preparation and calculation of staff timesheets for approval

Carrying out monthly payroll process

Uploading pension information

Preparation and submission of VAT Return

Application for any eligible funding

Deal with management and renewal of any contracts

Responding to any accounts queries via telephone and email

Qualifications



Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (preferably within a small team or similar environment).

Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with accounting software (Xero would be desirable, however, full training will be provided) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
