FINANCE & HR Officer

- PART TIME & FLEXI HOURS

Are you local to Cardiff? Would you like to work for a Film and TV Commercial Production Company? Black Lab Films is a small but ambitious production company based in Cardiff, but often shooting around the UK and internationally. You will be responsible for overseeing; payroll, invoicing, cashflow, HR duties etc, alongside a broad spectrum of logistical and administrative tasks that support and power the day to day running of team and office.

CORE DUTIES

Execute various accounting duties including Managing the purchase ledger including payment processing, Sales invoicing, Payroll - end to end including EPS & FPS submission, Bank reconciliation and VAT returns. Producing reports to support the directors and team Running on/off-boarding process for staff joining / leaving. Maintaining HR records including Holiday allowances Ad hoc projects to support the business. Sharing responsibility for office management to ensure the smooth running the office.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS REQUIRED

Experience with Xero or equivalent accountancy software essential. Must have experience or a solid understanding of Business Compliance and HR. Excellent IT skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software package. Excellent team skills and the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues, building effective working relationships with all functions of the business. An aptitude for using own judgment and decision making with the ability to work on initiative. A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in, contribute to the team environment, and improve the company culture wherever possible. Outstanding organisational and time management skills. Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritise daily workloads Excellent verbal, written and proof-reading skills with high attention for detail. Ability to manage sensitive information and understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

Hours

10-12 hours a week / flexi hours / remote working considered
