We're seeking a
Finance & HR Manager
who brings both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to lead our financial operations. This is a demanding but rewarding role, ideal for someone who's proactive, detail-driven, and ready to take ownership of key financial and HR processes within a growing care organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Xero Accounting:
Manage and reconcile financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Local Authority Funding:
Oversee contributions from clients and local authorities, ensuring clarity and compliance.
Billing & Reconciliation:
Process invoices, reconcile bills via Dext, and ensure timely payments across private and funded care packages.
Payroll Management:
Prepare and administer payroll with precision, ensuring full compliance.
Financial Liaison:
Confidently follow up on outstanding payments via phone and email, engaging with clients, councils, and external partners.
Reporting & Compliance:
Produce financial reports and maintain adherence to care sector regulations and standards.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a finance role within the
care sector
or similar regulated environment.
Strong command of
Xero
and a solid grasp of financial workflows.
Deep understanding of
local authority funding
, private client billing, and reconciliation.
Excellent communication skills -- especially over the phone -- with the confidence to chase payments professionally.
Strong written skills for clear, empathetic email correspondence.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to thrive under pressure.
Willingness to work
on-site
in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting.
