Role: Finance Project Manager

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office Based

Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent

Salary: \xc2\xa340,000 circa & Bonus Scheme

EG Group has embarked on a standardisation project to move all European entities\' financial activities on to SAP 4/HANA. This multi-country implementation is an enabler to support the ongoing development of the finance organisations based both in Blackburn and across the rest of the group\'s locations.

The Transactional Shared Services Project Manager will form a part of the finance work cell reporting to the Director of Financial Operations responsible for delivering the successful implementation of projects.

Additionally you will support in providing full project life cycle governance throughout (RAID maintenance, Risk Management, Resource/Meeting Coordination, Reporting and Communication). You will also be involved in project management and governance of spin off deliverables associated with the implementation of the core solution.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in initiating projects, planning, delegating, managing and risk mitigating.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Quickly create strong relationships with members of the project team to gain their trust and be a credible partner in helping them through all stages of the project.
  • Ability to work with SAP to resource and support all stages of the project with a strong focus in ensuring full participation from the finance community and associated quality and governance controls.
  • Ability to build and manage a User Acceptance Testing plan. Activities include resource and location planning, ongoing management of the testing through performance / issue reporting within SAP Solution Manager.
  • Working with SAP and the finance community to plan any retesting or additional testing items identified throughout the UAT.
  • Development of training material and planning of delivery to users to support successful User Acceptance Testing.
  • Management and reporting of the Market Feedback Analysis Process (MFA) to provide qualitative measurements of success.
  • Meeting with management and colleagues to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
  • Developing detailed project plans to guide management, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff members.
  • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery.
  • Compiling and submitting project status reports to management, and other stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinating any UAT for any system upgrades or other system implementations.
  • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
  • Developing excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements
  • Previous ERP Project Management experience or desire to work in this field
  • Proficiency in document control and process improvement
  • Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Smart Sheet and other relevant applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
