We are now recruiting for a new Finance & Reporting Assistant, a key role supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function and the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support a wide range of financial processes, from payment runs and bank reconciliations, to reporting and journal entries. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a solid foundation in Finance, especially within a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations for all Group companies, including multi-currency
Complete payment runs (weekly and monthly)
Assist in management of the supplier ledgers
Manage all non-supplier related payments and reconcile control accounts
Manage contras between customer and supplier accounts
Prepare and process monthly stock consolidation
Process weekly wages payments and maintain the weekly wages dashboard
Post weekly wages journals
Support in accruals and prepayments, and the month end processes
Maintain specific financial reports
Update daily bank balances and monitor cash requirements
Conduct regular housekeeping reviews on financial records
Assist with fixed asset set up and depreciation
Monitor shared emails to deal with Finance related requests
Support the Finance Team in various tasks and development projects
What We're Looking For:
AAT qualified (Part or full) or working towards a professional finance qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA), or equivalent experience
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
Experience with accounting or ERP systems, Power BI and Microsoft Navision is desirable
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
A proactive and reliable team player with a strong sense of ownership
Experience in a finance role within a manufacturing environment is advantageous

Working Times: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute paid lunch break.
