We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Systems Team Manager to join our finance team.
The Finance Systems Team Manager oversees the finance-related IT systems within Brabners, ensuring their smooth operation, security, and alignment with business and finance needs. This role involves managing the team, collaborating with stakeholders and driving improvements in financial processes, through technology.
A project has commenced to bring the data of all business functions together, in a unified data warehouse, to deliver business insights and self-service analytics, through AI technologies. The Finance Systems Team Manager will have a key role in the Central Intelligence Team, in relation to the finance data.
You will be responsible for:
Management and supervision of the team which comprises of 2 Finance Systems Analysts ensuring a collaborative approach and developing the team to their maximum potential
Management of finance systems projects, including upgrades, implementations, integrations with other systems, both in-house and third party, using ETL and APIs
Third party liaison, in relation to Finance systems
Collaboration with other departments to understand their needs and the needs of the Business and deliver optimised solutions, which may require integrations with non-finance systems
Identification of new systems which will enhance processes and provide efficiencies. Production of related business cases
Delivery of process improvements through systems enhancements and integrations, including 3E customisations
Design and development of reporting, both strategic and performance management, providing actionable insights, to legal teams and management
Database query, data analysis, audit reporting and ad hoc reporting
Managing and maintaining the financial systems, including 3e, Concur and Thirdfort, ensuring data integrity, system security, segregation of duties and optimal performance
System upgrades, including potential migration to the cloud
End user training and support to ensure that users can utilise the tools and processes effectively
Ensuring that financial systems adhere to relevant regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks related to data security and financial operations
What we are looking for:
Technical proficiency - Strong understanding of finance systems and experience with data analytics and integration tools. Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Office 365 is essential. Experience with APIs and with Elite 3e legal software an advantage
Financial skills - A solid understanding of accounting principles, operational finance and financial reporting processes is required
Leadership - Ability to lead, motivate and develop the team
Stakeholder management - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internal and external and build strong working relationships
Problem-Solving - Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve system issues and implement effective solutions
Change and Project Management - Experience of managing technological change, within Finance and the wider business
Risk Management - Knowledge of the controls needed to ensure data integrity and system security
