What does the team do?





Deloitte's Finance Transformation team acts as a strategic partner to CFOs, guiding them through complex financial landscapes to unlock value and drive sustainable success. As a part of Deloitte's Finance Transformation offering, our Health team partners with NHS organisations, Local Authorities, and other government entities to solve their most pressing challenges and help shape the future of public services.



We collaborate closely with our clients developing and implementing tailored solutions that drive efficiency and improve public services. From streamlining NHS finances to optimising local authority services, our team is at the forefront of public sector finance transformation.



Our projects span:





Leading large-scale transformation programmes Driving financial and performance improvement Project and change management, delivery and implementation Strategy development and stakeholder management


What skills and academic qualifications do I need?





We welcome applications from graduates of all disciplines who can successfully demonstrate the necessary skills and a genuine interest in public sector organisations. You will need to have obtained or be studying towards at least a 2:1 and have graduated by September 2026.

Understanding of the public sector:

While not essential, any prior experience or understanding of how public sector organisations operate would be a significant advantage.

What kind of work will I do?





As an analyst on our team you'll be at the heart of solving complex challenges facing the public sector. You'll work directly with clients, collaborating on a diverse range of projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include data analysis, developing innovative solutions, and managing projects - all while contributing to strategies that improve public services and leave a lasting positive impact. Expect a fast-paced, rewarding environment where you'll learn, grow, and make a significant impact.



While some projects benefit from an accounting background, it's not a requirement for most of our work. We understand career paths are diverse, so we support analysts interested in specialising with the opportunity to complete either the ACA (ICAEW) or CIMA Certificate qualifications - but this is optional, and we will support you to make this decision when you start with us.



Our team is primarily based in Birmingham, with client-based work when required. While some client work may require occasional overnight stays, this offers valuable experience and the chance to build strong relationships with clients.



Where will I work?





At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

Be supported from your first day by our dedicated Early Experience team along with Early Talent senior sponsors from your team You will attend our amazing Analyst Induction Programme (AIP) alongside your Technology & Transformation Analyst peer group to learn about our company, culture and how we work - and to build your network here at Deloitte You'll get an opportunity to practice the key skills you'll need on client projects. AIP is 10-days in-person event which includes engaging talks, group activities and immersive simulation challenges You'll meet many team members from your business area, including your People Leader and Resource Manager, and make a few friends along the way Following AIP, you will continue being set up for success for your future career in Technology & Transformation, you will move into more specific business area training for a few more weeks - all exciting and very relevant to your future client/project engagements You will have the opportunity to network with colleagues at all levels of seniority and have access to lunch and learns, mentors and more.
